Leaving My Pets Behind.

The hardest part of Traveling is leaving Beloved My Pets.

Hands down, the hardest part of leaving home to travel in Asia is leaving my two dogs and cat behind, and I am grateful to have my son and our fabulous pet sitter taking care of them. My pets are my constant companions. They have become even more important since I lost my husband to cancer, and watching my son go off to college, and now essentially leave the nest for a corporate job and a serious girlfriend. When Esther of Purgatory Pie Press asked me to illustrate a RISO Book while I was here, the story of leaving my pets behind was a natural. We have done several other Olive RISO Books together, so it fits in perfectly with the series. I can't wait to see them soon.
